It is done. I will never do one of these ever again. It took WAY too long.
BUT...
I love it. It is exactly what we wanted. We started talking about putting a map in Will's room a long time ago. I looked at some and really liked the one that IKEA has. I found one by FAO Schwarz that was interactive but it was not exactly what we wanted. Then I saw this mural in a few rooms and we decided that it was perfect. It was actually the exact size of his wall! I ordered it months ago and it sat. Everyday I looked at it and dreaded the process. This weekend I decided to jump in and do it. It took all day.
Kids + old house = projects taking three times as long.
The last panel was up at 10pm. I finished trimming it at 11:30pm.
I really like looking at it too. Mark and I were looking at it last night and discussing the news.
Next on the list is his twin bed.
